RD: In the situation you are in I will do 2 things:
Puts: I will sell the higher strike puts I hold, and sell puts ITM. If you were already short I will put them to myself,i.e., buy the put , buy the stock, sell a LEAP call, and sell an ITM put.
Calls: I will roll down the strike price.
All depends on cash management.
Just a thought, I don't have to teach a master.
