I am for choice, and the development of various approaches that might be publicized. I am not persuaded by the Harvard paper that TAAS is a failure, since I have nothing against a basic skills approach for students that are at risk. I am persuaded that some of the issues raised need to be looked into. Conservative criticism is rather different, and mixed, so I do not have a clear sense of a "conservative position". Anyway, thanks for the provocative material.....
