STLW float is small also...no lockups until 12-23-00. Blew doors on the reportcard recently.

idealist, saw your shopping list earlier

Me too. Lots of cheapies out there. Went long BVSN and STLW, considering ADCT. Don't forget the low prices on the muffin.

Hi Idealist:

dubious about AVCI because of the valuation

Agreed the valuation is too high, but don't think legitimate FA will have much to do during the bubble. $4B market cap allows some room. A large part of my choice of AVCI is watching the intraday price action over the last several weeks, it shows a lot of willingness to bounce up.

considered AVNX and STLW?

Avanex ok, but Stratos looks like a very prime bubble stock. Low cap ($2B) (for a bubble stock <g>), reasonable float (7mm). Only two hesitations would be 1) when is Methode's lockup over (180 days is about Xmas), and 2) I think it looks so attractive that it might become a football between momo and short traders.

Thanks for the suggestion, will consider moving some money into STLW. Unfortunately at the moment, I parked my overnight cash into EXDS Wednesday afternoon at $53 <sigh!>.
