Actually Greece has already been accepted in the EMU and will officially become a member Jan 1.
Inflation in Greece has come down to 3.1% and that includes energy and is non-hedonically adjusted. Was 14% just 6 years ago so some credit is due.
At the same time quality of life which was among the highest worldwide has gone even higher.
Timely EMU acceptance unfortunately came at the expense of some dignity as the government was blackmailed last year into not vetoing the Kossovo charade.
