yes Tim, Bollinger death analogy very appropriate
I will mourn for another year at least, maybe longer
I will also feel the pain of several friends who followed me over the cliff (5-6 come to mind)

an extremely critical time is approaching for big and medium sized businesses.. they must forecast whether a SoftLanding or CrashLanding will occur.. so far Soft is winning, but possibly because we want to believe that.. capital expenditures must continue.. suspicions that it will be interrupted have hurt the fibroptic niche recently

personally I believe the big buildout will continue REGARDLESS of whether a SoftLanding gradually erodes away.. I believe the Federal Reserve can and will act quickly if it needs to, in order to keep the economy on track

with no war on the horizon, huge record setting federal surplus sitting, employment high, inflation under control at least, MONEY WILL BE THERE FOR INVESTMENT on the corporate side.. big telecoms may see somewhat reduced funds for the big buildout. but I believe big corporations will go into debt rather than pullback on the buildout

wireless, fiberoptic, advanced semiconductors
these will continue to power the Big Buildout
profit squeeze is my only fear
