Bacchus,

Apple issues warning

Apparently they didn't do as good a job thinking up new colors for iMac this year.

RE: Apple Warning.

Apple also warned about slowing growth going forward in this announcement. It'll be interesting to see whether the street sees this problem as company-specific (in which case x86 pc's may even get a boost based on market share expectations), or whether it's taken as another sign of a general computer-demand slowdown, in which case we can expect more trouble tomorrow. If it's the latter, maybe we could make hay out of the fact that AMD seems to get punished when any tech-related company gets bad news. Perhaps we could *charge* other companies to 'take a knife' for them - "AMD - Official Whipping Boy of the NASDAQ and NYSE" TM ;-)

bacchus ii:

Apple closed at $53-1/2, up $4-9/16's today...Guess they're feeling the AMD squeeze as well...

By the way, if AAPL trades at $53-1/2 on expected Q3 of $0.45, wonder where AMD will trade on actual Q3 of $0.77???
