Sylvester, Re: Any idea how much of a realistic growth can we expect from AMD during 2001 based on the numbers you posted?

AMDs goal for 2001 is 30% market share (at year's end). In Q4 2000 AMD will probably have 20% market share, so it could grow 50% until next year. AMD also expect flash growth to double the next two years. These are, of course, ideal assumptions based on continuing strong demand and flawless execution. It's very hard to look out that far. But without major screw ups or a market downturn 30% revenue growth over 2000 should be easily achievable (conservative guess). However, the earnings could suffer from lower ASPs (eg. if AMD can't get into the server/business market in 2001 or if P4 is the new performance king) and the expected 30% tax rate.
