AAPL seems to be going from the Microcosm to the Shitocosm in a big hurry. Gilder's right on the money, like you say. The Powercosm is exciting, too. A nice place for some real long term investments.

....Telecosm....exactly. I'm typing this on a three year old Intel clone...attached to a DSL line. We occasionally think about a newer machine, but it's not a pressing issue. However, before I rented the house, I verified I could get a DSL line; lack of that would be a show stopper. Where I work, most of the developers are switching to wireless laptops even though a network connection is at their FEET! Because of the convenience. They can work anywhere and you get used to a particular machine. Regards, Tom
