You fit right in with the Clinton/Gore sell the us out.

<<The answer is, SEVERE penalties to perpetrator of crime -->>

So you are a member of the NRA.

<<BTW: Gordon, any idea why people get annoyed when I present case against guns?>>

Because some people like to have their guns to kep from being killed. Freedom from being killed, is that foreign to you?

Using that logic, I believe other countries should have nuclear
power to counter US, or France, or China and prevent potential genocides.

I agree in principle and indeed it is a fact. 55 years ago two bombs were used in a conflict, WWII, and since that time due to adequate defenses, there was no repitition. You, of course will say that there are many dangerous weapons extant in the world and it is true, the world is a dangerous place, always has been and to my way of thinking always will be.
Another in favor of guns is what the forefathers suggested in form of 2nd Ammendment. Again I
question this in the form that how long does it really take to raise a militia if the government turns tyrannical? It
does not even take long to manufacture weapons. If it really turns tyrannical, there is no way present militia can
deal more effectively than the ad hoc militia that will be formed when required. Why does an individual need a
cache of arms, when a single, maybe 2 or even 10 are enough?

Since neither of us have military background, militia talk is hypothetical. The National Guard, often referred to erroneously as the militia, is actually under Federal control. You seem to have left out guerrilla warfare. A tyrannical government will control weapons manufacture (if they intend to survive), so a degree of preparation is necessary and is what the 2nd addresses.

You must realize that the majority of your arguments are emotional and that you have more trust for government in general than most. At some point a pen becomes just another sharp object and a computer disconnected, just a good paperweight.

The Boy Scouts taught us to BE PREPARED, right Ish.
