The Market and Us It started after Halloween But it was not a fake Our stocks began to ramp up high And riches did we make. Qualcomm was the leading stock The chart went quickly up. But so many others too Showed a handle and a cup. The messages on S.I. threads Resounded like a song And most of us began to think That we could do no wrong. Nazdaq markets gave to us Christmas gifts galore But alas it was such fun We kept on wanting more! Beware of Greeks who come with gifts And straight up charts also And we who knew no bearish thoughts Would soon be filled with woe. Hurrah for those who sold their stocks They’d money in the bank While those of us who hung on tight Our fortunes sank and sank. And great wealth lost and margin calls Began to fill the screen And them that were of bearish ilk Were smiling and serene. And now the last quarter draws near After half a year of pain Will those of us who still are bulls Have Christmas gifts again? And if we do, how will we act If fortunes smile once more?
