Cheney was never a soldier or an officer in the US military. I remember that it took several months for our military to get into place in order to start the Gulf War. Didn't we have to activate thousands of Reserves? We weren't exactly ready for that war even under Sec. of Defense Cheney. It's' necessary for Bush and Cheney to claim they will rebuild the military cause they will have to dish out billions in pork barrel defense contracts in order to pay back all their campaign contributors. Too bad there are suckers out there that don't see through that claim!!!
