These guys still don't get it. Or they are playing dumb. Whose technological solutions (what does it consist of?) would they use on HFC if they "did" come to decide to open up the pipes (open access)? Anything that I've seen to date would be disastrous to existing customers who have grown accustomed to early-stage HFC speeds. Second thought, open access would simply bring the ultimate circumstances to a head that much sooner. The poor upstream is about to get squeezed some more. I wonder what Cable Labs has been doing to prepare for this.
