Greetings, Michael

With the AAPL warning last night and the resulting spreading of devastation this am (GTW down 10, for example), it is clear that the general implications of "nuclear winter" are now finally being recognized by the street. I thought it would hit much earlier, but now have made good on several negatively inclined investments. The question I have is "Where do we go from here?" Is continuing carnage in the cards? Can there be any hope of Xmas lies having any impact in this environment?

My own suspicions are that many stocks are still vastly overpriced and that year-over-year comparisons will be particularly difficult in 2001. There may be some rallies in the mean time, but the general trend is down and there is little indication where it will stop.

An additional feature of the current malaise will be that those stocks that still show some green, such as CMRC, will be piled into, potentially driving these stocks to overvaluation. That implies that a time to sell will soon be approaching. All of the above calls into question whether to be long anything now, except GTZR and DRMD. ;-)

Thanks for your thoughts.
