gst, your posts are so dichotomous. Many are thoughtful and provocative. The rest are, well, tedious diatribes about oil prices or trade deficits or whatever. And now you add stereotypes of Californians to that list. Sheesh!

Gst, When the Missionaries came out from the mainland and ripped off all of Hawaii the locals watched in complete silence.
Then after the war the Japanese moved in and took over most of the businesses while the locals once again watched in complete silence.
Those locals prefer to lay in a hammock, smoke some dope, and hope like hell no one will wake them up.
Isn't the Hawaiian national anthem "Tiny bubbles"?;-)
