In Canada our medicare system kills more people on a daily basis than all our munitions put together. I think "gun control" is happening because the government is generally afraid of the populace and they turn that into an election platform by using that argument you mentioned. A little shortage in the fuel supply and there is riots in Europe. If the lights go out during a cold winter what will happen? The FBI has installed black boxes in juncture points along the world wide web. What event are they anticipating where they will pull the switch? If Gore gets elected I will travel south to see them blowing all those dams along the Colorado. That will be one hell of site.
