dba Telecom Announces Additional Financing

October 13, 2000

North Vancouver, BC, Canada - dba Telecom Corporation (CDNX: DBA)
announces that it has arranged additional financing of $400,000 through a private placement convertible loan. The loan bears interest at 10% per annum, payable quarterly, and matures in three years. The loan may be converted into shares of dba Telecom at a price of $0.16 in the first 2 years and at a price of $0.21 in the third year. The terms of a previously announced demand loan for up to $1.4 million have been amended to a three year loan, convertible on the same basis as the $400,000 convertible loan referred to above. The transaction is subject to the approval of the Canadian Venture Exchange. The net proceeds will be used to finance production and for general working capital requirements.

These plans include increasing revenues, controlling operating costs, and expanding our product portfolio through strategic alliances and potential mergers and acquisitions.
