Yes, it could very well be a style issue with AAPL. Maybe brightly colored computers are going out of fashion. INTC's problems could also be peculiar to them.

OTOH when two unexpected warnings come out from companies in the same industry, I wonder if there is a common cause. I guess we'll have to wait until we get more earnings reports.

>IMO I still think this market showed very positive direction today...

I agree, which is why I was very disappointed to hear the APPL news. I checked some after-hours quotes, and outside of AAPL damage seems fairly light. I wouldn't mind being wrong about tomorrow!

What if this is more "Mac" specific...a problem with Mac users wanting to move on to PCs?
(I'm sure you've heard all of the Mac jokes such as "a Mac is a PC with training wheels"...or
"MAC means Most Absurd Computer").

There are jokes warranted or not.

I know that there are many functions such as graphic
design work, visual design, desktop publishing and multimedia work that many feel can only be
accomplished on an Apple Computer.

At the present time it is just not feel; it is a fact. Go to a large newspaper and you will find many more Macs than other systems.
