European Unity.... the oxymoron of the millineum

I remember, as a young whippersnapper, I asked my father. Why dont they
just have one money for the whole world? He said "Sure..
what would you call it?" His point was the name is meaningless. The
political boundary is what defines the money. I have trouble
with the fantasy idea of a European Superstate.

My view is that the French
have been riding the German coat tails since this started and thats a bout all
thats been going on.
