Q, You're going to love this!

New York, Sept. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Oil executive David Trice walked into the conference room at the Millennium Hotel off New York's Times Square earlier this month, looked out at investors waiting to grill him about his company's prospects, and grinned.

``Cash is coming through the door, and under the door, and over the door,'' said Trice, chief executive of Newfield Exploration Co., who made ``Earnings do matter'' his slogan in a round of presentations to investors this quarter. The company, he added, already has broken its annual profit record with three months still left in the year.

"I was hearing yesterday that this summer was very good for the trees, making for a spectacular color display this fall in the Northeast" Not IMO,,far to much rain has made the colors a bit dull this year,,and the leaves are dropping fast..23 degrees here in Vt this morning..Old Vermonters are predicting cold and heavy snow..for what that's worth <LOL!>
PS: <We americans sure take it for granted that heat will always be there when we want it.> As long as you keep feeding the woodstove, it will be there ..;^) On that note,,the price of wood is following the price of oil..log truck load last year was $375,,went up to $465 this year (about 8 cord after cutting and splitting, about a Winter and a halfs worth for me)

I just robbed the MVK candy store at 26 1/8. Given their earnings momentum going forward it's a steal at 17x forward earnings. I believe their will be upside from their recent merger as well a potential decrease in steel prices. I'll chase it down every $1 from here. Large short interest will give it a pop from time to time as well.
