Darrell,

Re: what do these people want?

They want interviews on CNN, CNBC and Bloomberg.
They want to sit next to Joe Kernan on the morning CNBC show.
Maybe get a little smile from Maria Bartiromom.

They don't want a 25 B company with a P/E of a very managable 45 with projected growth of 30% revenues..........they want a SUNW with its P/E of 110.

RESEARCH ALERT-Merrill says Sun value justified

NEW YORK, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Merrill Lynch said on Thursday that strong competitive position, the lack of a serious challenger and the size of the market justified the higher valuation for computer-maker Sun Microsystems Inc. <SUNW.O>.

-- Said new UltraSPARC III microprocessor makes Sun more competitive as it lifts a cloud over perceived credibility problems surrounding speculated technical problems.

-- Said believed there are strong economic reasons for Sun customers to continue to buy and strong reasons for Sun to continue to sell UltraSPARC II-based servers.

-- Sun's software leadership provides a pricing umbrella for what would otherwise be more commodity-like server, storage and workstation hardware.

Obviously investors want more. I had to hold on to my AAPL because I refuse to sell a stock in the tech industry with a PE of around 15. I added some 2002 Leaps to cost average down. I can now sell at 37 (small probability) rather than having to wait for it to get back to 50 (0 probability).
