Well, I'd say this statement by Peter Gottlieb (VP and portfolio manager at First Albany Asset Management)certainly seems to verify your maybe; "There is continued nervousness over earnings and rotation out of stocks with bad earnings and into stocks with good earnings,'' And using AAPL as one example, market nervousness these days translates into 50% valuation "haircuts" upon any bad earnings pre-announcement announcements. The bears must be lovin' the market these days, eh? John~
