Cash levels should give some downside protection....without the secondary they floated, NETP would be trading around $2/$3 instead of $5, IMO....if it does drop to $3 on tax-loss selling, that would be a great buy, IMO....How folks could have thought the dot-com bomb and drying up of funding for all these e-tailers would not have a material fundamental impact on NETP is beyond me.

To all...

I just spoke to vikram Kaura who is one of the covering analysts with DainRauscher.

It seems when the analysts spoke with NETP management on several occasions during early September, NETP indicated that 3Q is tracking well and they expected to close several deals by END of September so as to be on target.

Usually Summer quarter is slowest for software and there was nothing unusual in closing more than 50% of the "targeted" deals in the last month (Sep). However now the truth has come out that NETP did not close any deal at all in whole of Sept and simply misled the analysts. About 24% of total revenue was expected from dot.coms and when the dot.coms died, so did the percentage (take 24% off the top). Brick & mortar companies are not pursuing vigorously internet marketing as demise of dot.coms seems to put any cap exp for net software on defensive. Remember NETP's software is highly priced (250K a pop).

Now the street is NOT willing to pay any premium at all either to their products or future potential. 3 bucks a share is what you get when you divide the current cash by outstanding. Add 2 more for fixed assets value etc..

Only hope he says for NETP is a buyout.

He is stunned as much as any retail investor is on this NET Deception. Said, he will not be surprised to see couple of law suits soon. Clearly the management lied when they said., 3Q is "tracking well".

May god save us all longs...
