You don't need any bastards to get you down. Looking at the price does marvelous job.
After 5 years of their marketing schemes, promises, talk and no action that's all you end up with.
This company reminds me of a poorly made " Freak Show ". BOD freaks come and go.
Freaky company name keeps on changing, freaky marketing schemes keep on changing, freaky projects keep on changing.
The only thing they are not able to change is freaky share price, freaky new solid shareholders base, freaky realistic solid projects.
Well, you get the freaky picture, don't you ?

Race track plan in jeopardy; staff recommend rejection

>The land in question is good farmland, the report states, and the Farmers’ Institute has not given their support to Sungold’s plan.

Institute president Bruce May, and several other farmers, have sent a petition to the city to voice their opposition to the project. The report outlines several reasons why the development could harm current agriculture, such as traffic congestion, loss of farmland and degradation of the soil.

It also points to the issue of perception: the city has recently embarked on a series of discussions with farmers and residents to determine the future of farming in Richmond.

“Citizens could very well consider the racetrack as an affront to the City’s stated efforts to ‘continue to protect all farmlands in the Agricultural Land Reserve,’ and to ‘maintain and enhance agricultural viability and productivity in Richmond,” according to the report (with reference to the Richmond Official Community Plan, 1999).<

This farm land seems to be VERY important to Richmond. In my opinion, I don't think Sungold has a hope in hell on an appeal.

>But the resourceful Hart isn’t taking no for an answer this time. He says he intends to go over city council’s head and straight to the Land Reserve Commission.

If the LRC somehow agrees with Hart’s proposal, the whole thing will come back to city council to look at again.

Hart argues that his proposal benefits Richmond’s agricultural community.

No one doubts that the Sungold project has its merits. It would create new jobs, increase the city’s tax base, draw visitors to Richmond, and perhaps even give a boost to the local agricultural community.

And while we’ve discussed how it would be a shame to take away so much farmland, one of the other issues that hasn’t really been discussed is whether Richmond needs another gambling venue.

In the bigger picture, the Lower Mainland already has racetracks in Vancouver and in Cloverdale. Does it really need — or can it support — another major facility?<

As I remember council was opposed to expanded gaming.
