While I'm very reluctant to feed your depression, you might give some thought to Softie. One could spin a scenario that has MSFT coming in a little short this quarter. In the past, they have gotten a lot of income from investments that (given their stock price) may not have been as lucrative this quarter. Moreover given their legal problems, they may think it wouldn't be all that bad to miss a quarter and hence appear more vulnerable to market forces. Just a thought. In any event

Good luck!
