Elmer,

Timna was healthy months ago, or so I'm told.

Didn't you make a post a few months ago implying that Timna was dead?

EP, re:<don't blame Timna for what was an extension of the MTH problem>

You mean its impossible to design an MTH to translate RDRAM signals into SDRAM signals.

But doesn't Willy incorporate the RDRAM interface on-die?

So how will Intel get it to work with DDR and SDRAM?

RE:"Timna was healthy months ago, or so I'm told."

If I recall, you came back from Israel talking up AMD.
This suggested to me that Timna was pretty much a dud...

Elmer,

No Intel ain't lookin so good but don't blame Timna for what was an extension of the MTH problem. Timna was healthy months ago, or so I'm told.

I am not trying to trump Jim McMannis, but here is what I posted 4 days before the first cancellation of Timna: Message 13832743

Elmer,

jh: I am beginning to feel sorry for the guys who worked on Timna. All the hard work they put into the project may go to waste, just because the management misjudged the memory market
ep: I'm sure your sympathy is well appreciated but premature

4 days premature?

Joe

I give Intel credit for the swift ending of this chapter. I expected slow and painful death.
