My experience is that if I'm wrong about the way a company is valued for an extended period of time, I must conclude that the mistake is within me, not the market. Sometimes I'm wrong, certainly, and the market vindicates my opinion. But far more often I find that it saves me from mistakes.

Are you saying then that at least 10% of Apple investors who were long the stock should have known better by watching and anticipating the market relative to what was coming down?

If you followed Apple's stock, it would appear that not even 1% of Apple investors knew what was going on. It appears to me that these PC players have generally only been right after the fact. They're always guessing wrong about this business.

But, when sales are fine, they're fine.

The weakness in the windows based PC sector has come from a philosophy shift regarding the need for a PC. Yet while all the bugaboos are predicting the end of the PC (for their own gain or ends) the PC sector continues to grow 15% worldwide.

They're entire modus operandi is that "one of these years we'll be right". In the meantime they fail to see the actual positive changes occurring with the PC industry addressing technology demand created by consumers.

Technology is now catching up to consumer desire.

Still, HERE we have Dell clearly stating that sales are fine.

WallStreet appears to have absolutely LITTLE CLUE as to what the PCs are doing because of their prediposition to the PC industries failure.

WallStreet appears to have absolutely NO CLUE as to what areas Dell exceeds in relative to SUNW. So, by default, SUNW becomes the higher priced PC manufacturer (oh, forgive me, SUNW doesn't sell PCs, I forgot for a moment).

PC = Personal Computer
SUNW sells Coporate Personal Computers with the dick cut off, i.e, Unichs. (UNIX).

That's the only difference bw Dell and SUNW, Dell sells computers with a dick (expandle by adding other little dicked computers to the sytem) as opposed to SUNW's dickless method.


WallStreet likes systems that are bigger and dickless as opposed to the little systems with a dick.

Yet, most of Asia can currently only afford the little systems with a dick. The bigger dickless systems are more costly and require a whole slew of newly trained technical IT staffing to operate. Dell comes in and demonstrates you can run a large enterprise on minimal staffing and training utilizing computers with a little dick.

It appears to be less about overall growth patterns. The growth patterns only justify their predisposition to the failure of the PC.

Even so, Dell is now selling the dickless systems too. And they want to take market share from SUNW and EMC.
