>>a lot of potential buyers are waiting for OS-X to come out.<<

SP -

I don't know if there are a lot of people thinking like me, but I am putting off buying a new Mac until after OS X is released, for two reasons.

One, I suspect that if I buy a G4 with dual 500MHz processors right now, I'll feel silly when they come out with some much faster boxes in just a few months.

Two, if not, I'll be able to get that G4 DP 500 for less anyway after the first of the year, and with OS X pre-installed.

OK, three reasons. The third is cash flow. AAPL is not the only stock I own that has been hit hard in the last few months. I also have CTXS (ouch) and DELL (likewise).

Nonetheless, I am confident in all three cases that the downside is exceeded by the upside going forward.
