Earlie, you can currently buy the reserves of some South African gold issues for $2/oz. it is incredible what a lowly valuation the market has put on these things. everybody thinks gold is still in a bear market - that is patently untrue, as it has entered into a bull market in almost all non-USD currencies (the only exception being the Yen). non_USD gold bulls are ALWAYS leading USD gold bull markets, the most recent example being the '93 mini bull, which began already in '92 everywhere else. until market developments dictate otherwise, i am assuming that last year's panic low was in fact a secular low, and the beginning of the bull market.
