Pravin,

it is hard to disagree with you, particularly if AMD's earnings come out ok. Why AMD could not re-enforce guidance during this period is not easy to comprehend. It is even harder to comprehend why AMD would not make use of the tremendous PR opportunity before it now (all predicated on good earnings outcome of course).

Well, I took some heat about saying AMDs PR department should be fired but I stand by it...
To hide behind the "quiet period" was bunch of bull.
At least they could have said..."Yes, we are in the quiet period. If anything needs to be re-guided we will do so but at this time we are looking at a good quarter..."
Sorry about your 8500...you must have been on margin.
