Andreas,

re: eps contest entry

One of the estimates i'm looking for is CPG revenues. I took the liberty to enter it as $796 millions, after calculating it from your other numbers as below -

CPG revenues = total revenues - Memory revenues - $25 millions for the other

= 1220 - 399 - 25
= $796 millions

$796 million of CPG revenues leaves (after deducting your estimate of $758 millions of CPU revenues) only $38 millions
for the chipsets + embedded + network products portion of the revenue that goes into CPG revenues. IMO, it's a very low number!

AMD EPS: $0.66 (5 cents > consensus), rev: $1,240 MM

Memory Group Rev: $405.44
2Q00 it was $362MM. Although AMD guided 10% rev increase, IMHO it should be 12%. This is where the upside comes from as AMD raised contract prices according to SSB.
amd.com

Total Rev: 1,240 (6% increase sequentially)

EPS: $0.66/shr (5 cents above consensus. This is great considering its peers and OEMs)

Currently, the whisper is unrealistically high: $0.68
Zack consensus: $0.61

AMD shr price COB 10/12/00: $36 w/ good forward looking statement

Expect AMD to announce shipment of 1.2GHz TBirds on Mon 10/9/00
