Neocon--

The case was made when the Bush-Walker assets were seized under the Trading With The Enemy Act.

The citation for the seizure order-- Office of Alien Property Custodian, Vesting Order No. 248; Filed, November 6, 1942, 11:31 A.M.; 7 Fed. Reg. 9097 (Nov. 7, 1942).

and--

A reference from the Polk's Bankers Encyclopedia, 96th edition, Section 1, Sept. 1942, R.L. Polk & Co., Publishers, lists Prescott Bush as a director of Union Banking Corp. (that edition was published a least a full month before Vesting Order 248 was issued.)

I hope this puts to rest any doubts you may have regarding the fact that the seizure in fact did occur and that Bush and Walker were involved.
