there's a Bradley low on Oct. 23....and a secondary low in late November. i agree with the '87 comparison...it does feel similar. back then we had portfolio insurance tipping us over the edge...this could be replaced by leveraged bets being forcibly unwound. imo a drop back to the May lows would probably bring such an unwinding about.
