it's not that simple. in many ways the free product is superior. the end users are lazy so they take what they're given though.

You've been golfing with Bill Neukom, apparently. The correct answer, Duke, is that MS's prices will drop too. MS can't exactly lower their cost structure (meaning it's already as low as it gets). Dell makes less and less per PC and MS doesn't? MSFT per PC revenue from OEMs is due for a serious haircut. (IMO) -JCJ
