No, MSFT has not issued a warning. By the way, the 10-K came out today, dated Sept. 28. It shows declining growth rates offset from significant contributions to the stated earnings from investment income. However, this trick is not going to be played this quarter. Especially striking is the slowdown in operations income growth, from 54% between '98 and '99 to 10% in the last year. I wouldn't be surprised to hear of even smaller operations income growth on October 18th which combined with negative investment income, would blow their earnings away. October 18th is the 1st quarter earnings announcement date. If they are going to warn, it will probably be next week.. -Sword
