Monty, Re: the top of a gap like that is VERY STRONG support. Why? Do you have an explanation for that? One would think that if everyone believes that the gap will be filled eventually no one would buy at the top of the gap but instead at the bottom. The same goes for a downgap (everyone buys at the bottom because they expect the stock to fill it). Andreas

Monty, What are the bottom and top of this gap that you are talking about and how old is it? You seem to imply that the top is 24 ...? What's the bottom? TIA, fp

Monty: Are you saying that after today's revelayions that AMD is about to bounce off the support in the $24 +/- $1 range...If so, i agree whole heartedly!!! (Incedentally, this support level at $24-1/4 (let's not quibble) is exactly and precisely at $48.50 pre-split which was the 5 year high, prioe to calendar year 2000...Significant??? Some may not think so, but, for what ir's worth, I think it's exceedingly significant, from a technical perspective...We are at the bottom!!!
