If you make $50,000 you are middle class. Bush will confiscate less of that than Gore. "Middle class people get more money to spend", as you say. No doubt you'll be voting for Bush.

I would much rather see the targeted tax cuts to help people get more education, etc, and no I am not being fooled into voting for Bush for a few extra bucks. I am capable of earning all I need.......I'm not relying on the graciousness of some fool Republican to have more money to spend. My husband and I feel the country as a whole would benefit from Gore. If the country as a whole does better than we in turn do better.

Bush's tax cut will give the lion's share back to the richest 300 some odd families in America. Middle class families won't get enough to make any difference in their spending power. I feel that the paying off of the national debt is paramount in our list of priorities and should be accomplished before we give back more money.

School vouchers is another scam set forth by the Republicans to reward the wealthy. It will only serve to gut the public school system and put tuition to private schools back in the pocket of the people that can now afford private schools. ALl the private schools are full and cost more than what the vouchers will provide anyway.I'm sure that additional religious schools will be started but that's a whole new issue. The poorer people are being used here and coerced into thinking they'll be able to afford to send their kids to private school on the voucher money. People who send their kids to private schools have long wanted to stop paying their school taxes cause their kids don't go to public schools. My fear is that we will create two classes of distinction.........educated elite and the poorly educated workers who will be constantly manipulated by dumb schemes like this voucher program. We will lose a whole generation of kids if we start a wide-spread voucher program.

I spend 6000/year to send my child to a private school and that doesn't include transportation and books. Go ahead and give me back my money and I'll take my child to Europe next summer with the $$$.
