The November (or December) date is not a slip.
FROM doug on the FOOL

Intel has publicly stated repeatedly that the P4 would be available in the 4th quarter and that they would ship a "few hundred thousand" P4s this year.

November 24 is a slip only from the scribbled and bogus dates published in the Register. It is really outrageous in my opinion.

First, Bert announces a launch date without any input from Intel. Then he announces that Intel has slipped to October 30. Then he announces another slip giving the date as November 24. All without the slightest confirmation from Intel.

Finally, he claims that Intel is in serious trouble and can't get its act together. When he alone has been writing the script.

It is total bs. I have NO respect for him or his rag. He gives the whole technical publishing industry a bad name.
