For you diehards---

<<Despite the lack of public announcements, SmartCode has been getting rave reviews and landing contracts. Novant Health is just one of several (4 or 5 to date) Art Technology (ARTG) joint wins. Check out Thursday's announcement on gui (graphical user interface). Within the context, IARC announced that the technology will be debuted at Interwoven's (IWOV) GearUP 2000 conference in San Francisco on Monday.

There are two major problems with the stock: Gruder's reputation, and lack of announcements. Nothing we can do about Gruder. The lack of announcements stems from customers that don't want their competition knowing how they are achieving a competitive advantage.

ARTG has over 450 customers at count last quarter. The company has announced only 40 deals in the last two years. Many of the rumors have basis in fact, but are premature or exaggerated. However, there is talk coming from Charlotte that there are 5 major contracts currently being negotiated, any one of which would "double next year's projected revenue" of $22 million (Stonegate's projection '01). That puts the potential revenue at $44 million... if just one of the five contracts hits.

Projected expenses for '01 are estimated at $24 million. $20 million in Rev divided by 22 million outstanding, or even 30 million fully diluted. This is not a short term play. The company is too small to move aggressively until the revenues are booked, but it is a joke at $3. You can buy IWOV at $115, ARTG at $90, or buy into the very technology they are using for $3. >>
