--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
January 12, 2000 (SEOUL) -- Hyundai Electronics Industries Co., Ltd. reported that it has received stock warrant options from Rambus Inc. of the United States that will allow the company to purchase Rambus shares for one-ninth of the market value.

Hyundai said it received the stock warrants (30,000 Rambus shares for US$10 each) from Rambus in December due to the quality of its rambus DRAM products.

Should Hyundai sell more than 10 million rambus DRAMs, the company will also receive 70,000 shares for US$10 each in stock warrants. Hyundai already holds the 25,000 shares in Rambus that LG Semicon received when its sales of rambus DRAMs hit one million in 1998.

Rambus shares are currently traded at US$98 per share on the NASDAQ.
