I think assuming that North American companies don't understand this is pretty idiotic. Especially when ALA is losing market share to CSCO in the DSL space. Yes, NT is too wound around the axle with optics - and CSCO wrapped around the axle with a desire to capture some of that market but it's pretty short sighted to assume that these folks (especially CSCO) don't understand the edge... and to further assume that the North American companies are falling behind... That's simply laughable.
