Crusty, you wrote: "I tried to locate Heartsoft at the MacWorld Expo in NY but found that they were not exhibiting at all.... As an educator, I would think that Ben would be interested in reaching buyers like myself through this convention or by other means, but, to date, I have not seen any advertisements of any of their software. I have even asked some of our suppliers for information and availability of the products without success."

Ben Shell has exploited several exhibition and advertising gambits over the past few years. I suspect they pick and choose which trade shows to visit based on budget and likely exposure. For example, I met Ben and colleagues at the Orlando Convention Center a couple of years ago during a big educational conference and exposition.

On the publicity front, I know they even placed ads in Barron's several years ago. I think they primarily target publications oriented toward their market niche -- I'm surprised you haven't seen any ads for Thinkology, for example.

Their latest 10K, just released, has much more on plans for future exposure. See:

There are many posts on Raging Bull tonight about highlights in the 10K. For example: ragingbull.altavista.com
