I've just noticed that somebody (not me) is posting to the Yahoo! message boards using the name "Charles Tutt!" I know I'm not the only Charles Tutt in the world, but I wonder whether that's their real name or whether perhaps (s)he is trying to take advantage of what little notoriety I might have as a result of posting here.

At any rate, it ain't me. I've never posted to Yahoo! and am not even registered over there.

Edit: I've filed a complaint with Yahoo!

It looks like Sunw's demo Thursday didn't work as planned. In fact even after three attempts to make the live demo work, they had to eventually use a "White Board" and magic marker to communicate their five year ".NET" vision.
(http://www.redherring.com/investor/2000/0928/inv-sun092800.html?id=yahoo)

From the article:

"...Between the faulty demos and hand-drawn slides, Sun's "Net Effect" presentation didn't exactly bring the house down. But the company did manage to unleash a few new products on the market as well as a confusing, if not convincing, vision of their future direction. ..."

"...After botching the third consecutive live demo, the frazzled technical assistant jokingly offered his resume to the crowd, since he figured his career at Sun was over. Considering Sun's execution of its presentation, it may want to consider at least hiring a consultancy if not outright buying one. ..."

=====================================================

I sure wish they had practiced their demo presentation because this is not good for SUNW or the shareholders.
