Hi Bob, TODAY'S FINAL FISHING REPORT!! BKP#3 status: There will be some REAL news in the next few days. I'm told there are discussions today around how to best drill the remaining distance to the top of the target. Remember, this is a brand new WILDCAT so they are seeing things for the first time!! As with all other wells, but especially WILDCATS, safety is first and foremost. Before entering the Temblor, everything needs to be discussed and then discussed again. We are all with you fellas, on the drilling crew, and while we seem to be impatient, PLEASE......take as much precaution and time as is humanly available. If any crew can make this happen, we all believe in you fellas. ------------------------------------------------------------ BKP#4 status update: Haven't found out anything firm yet other than it will spud when the rig is moved here, from BKP#2 ------------------------------------------------------------ BKP#5 status update: Again, nothing really to report except that it will spud when the rig is moved over from #3. Bellevue 17R status: We have seen posts suggesting that the plan here is to whipstock from BKP#? if it proves up. If what I'm led to believe is accurate, there is a plan still to re-complete 17R. They were going to do it earlier but as a group the partners decided to postpone it for a while. I was not able to find out the reason, but I suspect it had to do with "money". ----------------------------------------------------------- The STRONG FEELING I'm getting, after fishing ''ALL OVER'' is that everything is going good (from the partnerships' point of view) in California. The delays we are seeing now are neither unusual or reflective of anything other than what everyone should have come to expect when drilling these deep, complex wells. No one should certainly be discouraged. Remember, ELHFS has only affected those of us, on this thread. While fishing I caught the following: The Phillips-Berkley well in Oman spudded September 19 and is NOW drilling. Look for a great photo and information, on the Berkley Petroleum Website. I've been told that the well is set for 100 days but has COMPLETE "tight hole" status so no other information will be available unless Phillips decides to release it. I'm pooped! Think I'll go for a MacDonalds fish burger.....er, I mean I think I'll go home and enjoy the fish..............that got away .
