Or could it be that you just like to prove people wrong who are betting heavily on the stock?

How much money do you think I make just "PROVING" someone wrong. I don't think that is wise. Ego is an expensive critter. And yes I do buy stocks with downgaps WHEN I think it is appropriate to buy them. IMHO, INTC has some serious fundamental problems. FWIW, I went short INTC at 74 and change (no longer short) and SUNW at 128 and change. You can check a post to chic a week or so ago where I tell him my pet project lately has been GLW and it has been just wonderful. I think chic can verify my short on IBM also.

Now I will say that I like to short stocks because I PERSONALLY find it easier to see a top than a bottom.

Now..........."But I'm absolutely certain that this has nothing to do with the gap -- unless you prove me wrong."

Whatever you think. That is what makes a market. And...I have no interest in PROVING anything. As I have said I have been down this road on this thread before and have no interest in traveling it again.

You have not been around SI long enough to know the history of this AMD thingy. I posted on another thread WHEN I went short AMD and I have several people travel from AMD thread to the other thread to attack my position. I did not come here and tell any of them a thing about what my position was and I did not come here and slam the stock.
