HELP!!! I am now constructing another system. I am looking at the Retail box version of the Yamaha 8824EZ as a cheap but ideal solution for what I want to do. Virtually everything including make back-up copies of all of my licensed software and music CDs and etc. Is there a significantly better choice without going to much higher expense. What I seek is a "no brain" device with a complete set of manuals and a package of software that is so good that the manuals are almost not needed.

BTY, the ASUS A7v with a Retail package Athlon 800 that I put together has been adopted by my wife and I have to build another one for me. IT IS GREAT!!!!! and fast as hell!

All help and suggestions will be immensely appreciated.

Patient Regards,

DARBES

RE: the after-market may be perverse.

Well, I’ve already bet the farm on AMD and most of my acreage is gone, if things don’t turn out the way I expect in the CC I will be scrambling on the 12th to salvage enough land to plant a garden to survive. But, I am pretty sure that there are enough gamblers in the market to drive the price up before the CC and I will have some limit sell orders open in the after hours market (we should get some trading during the CC). Maybe I can get some of that perverse action. I will hold some of my AMD no matter what comes of the CC. At these levels it is a value stock, unless something catastrophic happens the price will certainly go higher over the next year. If we are truly are heading into a dark age where business and consumers stop buying desktop (CPUs) and palm (flash) computers then I will sell all my stocks and load up on GGG (Gold, Gas, and Guns).
