Kyrosl:

Shall we bet? (g)

The simple fact for me is that the company hasn't got a chance of rounding up enough subscribers to pay the big interest bills, let alone the operational costs.

I'll stay short.

Best, Earlie

If I had to pick between Globalstar and Loral, right now Loral is selling at book value, which isn't bad. I'm just waiting for them to hit $5 again, just for grins.

Globalstar is one of those story stocks. The G* thread is far more active than many other far more profitable investments, I think just because of the romance of the story. It would be extremely nifty to have a cell phone that could pick up signals anywhere on earth, but it's a luxury few can afford.

I think Orbital's data satellite biz has a much better chance of making it than Globalstar's sat phone biz.

<Globalstar itself has a fair chance of survival. I think it's way too dangerous to short it. It certainly is no Iridium.>

I certainly MORE than agree with this assessment... the opporunity to cash in shorting has passed. I may buys some bonds myself... which ones have first position??
