NightOwl, Your meaning was clear: It was not clear to you, apparently (and may have been unclear to others as well). The discussion was about politics. I never made any statements about extreme solutions with respect to social, religious, technological, or agricultural areas, and my opinions about extreme solutions in each of those topics varies. In case you missed my post about how terrific medical advances are, you might want to read it -- it gives you a better view of my opinions on technological advances (from which most of the medical advances have been derived). I will endeavor to avoid such simple "presumptions" in the future. I can ask for no more than this. Dave
