GST, no country uses more energy per capita than the US. Yet the air pollution here is far less than China. Right ? I think the reason is the higher level of technology use in the US. That is why I keep saying that high oil prices are not the enemy of tech. Since technology provides the tools that a society uses to mitigate the ill effects of oil (whether high price or pollution). If China gets serious about reducing their pollution level (whether air or water), then I think technology stocks will really skyrocket. And if India gets the same idea, then it is NASDAQ 20,000.
