Another two weeks will get us through the worst of the institutions end of their fiscal year shennanigans. Then we will have Gateway's and Compaq's Q3 reports. Neither are giving any indications of a miss. If they make their numbers at a time when the experts are down on PC's and the seasonal recovery is starting anyway, it should firm up both Dell and HP who are both saying that sales are on course. IMHO, I think the upswing may come before that when the managers (not analysts) realize the fact.
