I never said Schippers was not an opportunist. I said he is a Democrat. In his book he cited his many ties to the Democratic Party. If Schippers had written a book sympathetic to Clinton, I am sure that the left would be touting it as well. Schippers is not entirely kind to the Republicans in the book either. Had Clinton been a Republican this is the scenario which would have played out: The nightly news would have run the scene were Clinton said "I did not have sex with that women..." over and over again. Dan Rather would have had news headlines every night talking about the Constitutional crisis. NOW would have been out in full force marching on DC. Jesse Jackson would have had prayer vigils and said "It's time to go". I don't think the Republicans would have united in his defense. Bottom line Clinton is every bit as guilty as Nixon yet had no shame.
